Fresh Perspectives

Sky Sports were a founding partner of The Women’s Sport Collective – our first corporate supporter in fact – and we’ve been immensely proud to work with them over the past four years.

In 2024 our focus has been ‘Fresh Perspectives’, a programme developed in collaboration, to create new, cross-industry relationships between senior leaders in sport, stimulating conversations that challenge the status quo as we work towards our ambition of a more inclusive, gender equal sports industry.

After a successful pilot in 2023, this year’s focus was on reciprocal allyship as we paired 15 senior female leaders in sport with male leaders across Sky Sports.

The programme, which took place from January to October, included 1-2-1 sessions in pairs, along with group sessions considering inclusive leadership and addressing tough questions and ongoing conversations about gender equality in the sports industry, as well as looking to the future and the impact we can all have.

Thank you to our hugely talented Leadership Coach Chloe Walton who leads the Fresh Perspectives programme alongside Kate Hannon, and to Jo Osborne, Kristina Godwin and Inga Ruehl, who have managed this programme for Sky Sports.

Finally, thank you to the magnificent members of the Women’s Sport Collective who have taken part over the two years.

They include some of the most senior leaders from organisations including World Rugby, City Football Group, The Premier League, Sport England, England Rounders, England Netball, The ECB, Nottingham Trent University, More Than Equal, Fearless Women, PepsiCo, Access Sport, UK Institute of Sport, YMU Group, Premiership Rugby, ARC Event Consultancy, M&C Saatchi, Lewes FC, Man City Women’s Football Club, Carbon Jacked, England Rugby, The Mintridge Foundation and the British Triathlon Federation.

If you share our ambition for a gender equal sports industry and would like to partner with the Women’s Sport Collective in 2025 please do get in touch.

And if you’re a women working in sport, at any level, please do join our free, inclusive community here: https://www.fearlesswomen.co.uk/join-the-collective
